The project of 134 m2 apartment in the center of Moscow was created and implemented in 2019-2022 for the family of the famous russian and israeli actor Igor Mirkurbanov and his wife Maria Antipp. The historical building has an interesting history. Leo Tolstoy wrote "War and Peace" in its annex, also A.S. Pushkin visited. The apartment, in a building reconstructed in 1910, which went to the acting family, was a traditional layout with a corridor system and a back entrance, typical for apartments in tenement houses of the late 19th century and early 20th century. It was decided by me to make a free plan and create a space that inspires the actor, theatrical space for the outstanding person Igor Mirkurbanov, who has been playing in the most avant-garde and provacative theatrical productions in recent years. As an architect, I adopted two light objects as the basis of design decisions. One of which is a luminous "hat" of a glass dressing room - a kind of giant floor lamp. To paraphrase the famous expression "The theater begins with a hanger" into the language of architecture. And another element is a light installation in the dining area, which is visible immediately from the entrance to the apartment - a geometric image of the owner, who meets everyone who enters. The main elements of the furniture are made of concrete, which refers to the theatrical scenery used in recent cutting-edge productions. One of the client's wishes was to minimize the household components of the interior, while the interior had to be residential, functional and representative. The interior was built for several years, during the construction process the series "Dangerous Liaisons" was filmed in it, reports were made with the actors for the NTV program "Odnazhdy", preparations and rehearsals of performances and concerts were carried out. From the master bedroom, under a glass skylight, there is a staircase to the basement, designed by client himself, where the recording studio is located.
